FTP Instructions – Sending Us Digital Files

Need to get digital files to us fast - and easy? Sending us your file(s) has never been easier - and more secure! But before you upload your files, make sure you’ve prepared your files properly. Follow the info below to ensure that you get the best possible service from Fine Print Imaging. If this is your first order with us, once the files have uploaded, give us a call to provide us with your shipping address and credit card info.

Before you send your files!
Once you have your files prepared, send us an email explaining in detail what you wish to have done with each file, including:

• Size of prints
• Type of paper
• Border sizes – or no  borders
• Quantity of prints
• For canvas giclées , we offer a variety of wrapping services – call us
• Special printing directions
• Shipping information, including a street address and method of shipping
• Anything else you feel might be helpful in completing your order
• CALL us with your credit card number – for security reasons, do not email
• Send email to dropbox@fineprintimaging.com

Preparing Files for Lumira Digital Photo Prints
1. Set your “Document” width and height to your desired output size, at 300ppi.
2. Do not apply any printer profiles. We’ll take care of that.
3. Save files as tiffs, layers flattened.

Preparing Files for Canvas or Watercolor Giclée  Prints
1. Set your “Document” width and height to your desired output size, at 300ppi.
2. Convert to Adobe RGB (1998) working space.
3. Save files as tiffs, layers flattened.

Uploading Files
Click on the DropBox link below and follow these five simple steps.

1. Enter your email address.
2. Put your name/business name in the Subject field.
3. Leave us a short message telling us what to do with your files (no more than 100 characters).
4. Upload your file. If you have additional files to upload, click "add another file".
5. When all of your files have been selected, click the "Send It" button. That's it!

You do not have to sign up for a free YouSendIt account as the button on the right suggests.

You will receive an email telling you that we have received your files. It may take our staff some time after you have sent your file before we get a chance to open it and assess its printability. Make sure that you first send an email with printing directions BEFORE uploading your files (see above).
