Zapplication Preparation at Fine Print

If you’re ready to give the Cherry Creek Art Festival or a number of other top art shows a try, you’ll need to contend with the relatively new online ZAPPlication process. And if delving into digital imaging intimidates you, you need not fret. Fine Print is here to help. We offer a number of services designed to make you look good when using the ZAPPlication process. If you have your own digital files and want us to convert them to ZAPPlication ready files, we request that you send original TIFF files, ones that have been color worked and cropped to your satisfaction. If you are providing us with copies of your artwork shot with a digital camera, the copies should be professionally shot, or at the very least, be shot with a high end digital camera. Minimum file size should be 2 Mb in tiff format.

If you already have digital images on file at Fine Print, we can convert the file for Zapplication uploading.

If you already have jury slides and simply need them converted to digital files formatted for the Zapplication process, we will scan your images with a Nikon Cool Scan 5000, adjust the color/density and size them appropriately. The fee is $10.00 per slide.

*Note that these scans are not suitable for printing in sizes larger than 5x7. If you would like your slides scanned at a higher resolution so that they can be used for printing larger images, we suggest using Fine Print’s normal scanning services. See  “Scanning Services” for details.

Upload images to your ZAPPlication site:            $20.00 for all images, one session
After we have prepared your images for ZAPPlication, if you wish, we can upload your files to your ZAPPlication site for you. You will need to provide us with your log-in info and the following informatin for each image to be uploaded: image title, medium, height, width, depth (for 3D), and price. The only entry you will need to make is a description of your art which can be done after we upload your files.

Archiving files to a CD:                        $15.00 for all images, one session
Uploading files to our FTP site:           $10.00 for all images, one session
Once we prepare your images for Zapplication upload, we can archive  your images to a CD or  FTP the files to you. A precautionary note: once we have prepared your files for uploading and have either uploaded the files to the ZAPPlication site and/or have sent the files to you, we will no longer keep these files stored on our hard drives. All desired ZAPPlication services must be requested at the time the order is placed. Upload or CD Archiving prices apply to one session. If you request additional services at a later time, additional charges will apply.

Zapplication Consulting:                        No charge for first 10 minutes
                                                                $15 per ¼ hour thereafter
