- Odd sized mounting is billed at the smallest size that accommodates both the length and width E.g., an 11×17” mounted canvas will be billed at the 12×18” price since it is the smallest size that accommodates both the 11” and the 17” dimensions.
We’ve selected MountCor as our “go to” mounting board. MountCor® is a new high-tech low temperature, heat activated foam board which features a pH neutral, permanent adhesive that bonds at 130°F making it ideal for mounting fine art giclée media. It sits in between Gatorfoam and Fome Cor in rigidity, making it our top choice for all mounting needs.
A Note on mounting to a backing board
Most museums and top fine art galleries do no approve of permanantly mounting your canvas or art on a hard mounting surface. If you are primarily concerned about keeping your mounting archival, we suggest stretching your canvas on stretcher bars and hinge mounting your photos and fine art papers reproductions.
